This is about what you’ll find inside the book.This book is about twelve souls traveling together with the intent of coming to the end of their lives. All of them have reasons unique to themselves but the plan is to enjoy a cross-country trip and then at the end, drive off the edge of the world. Some of them we get to know pretty well, others we’re left wishing we’d gotten to know them longer and better. In a few cases, we experience messages to or from some members of their families or associates, too, due to the epistolary format. There are emails and voice mails and journal entries and texts and voice recordings that give this a true ‘as it’s happening’ feel.The cities and states they pass through are incidental to the experiences they have. The bus goes along to areas where people have responded to an ad, picking up some people, leaving others behind who don’t seem right. The people who get on the bus form connections and have experiences they never expected to have. Along the way, they visit a strip club, a glass museum, a botanical garden, and a rave and share them with you through their entries.There are thoughts and moments that will have you rolling on the floor with laughter. Other events that make you really give a lot of thought about both life and death. You’ll see true courage and And you’ll cry a few times as some fulfill their goal. And all of that feels right for the most part.The journey is far more the point than the end and this book is about life rather than death.
